There are 16 possible races to choose in Battles of Bravo- just which one you select for your hero is up to you. Each race has its own unique attributes it can offer to the group. So choose wisely, your path has been set before you....
PLAYABLE RACES
Surface Dwarf:
These Dwarves love the great outdoors. Expert hikers and navigators, they frequently can be found carrying over-sized packs full of rations and climbing gear as they travel the land. They like a hearty meal and a full pipe at the end of the day and although slow to anger, to provoke one would be a fatal mistake...
Deep Dwarf:
Deep Dwarves are seldom seen, spending almost all of their lives deep underground. Gifted miners and smiths, their work can easily be seen throughout the land. Spending their life by heat and steel, these dwarves are incredibly tough and strong from years of hard work standing over a forge.
Wood Elf:
Wood Elves are territorial creatures of the forest. At one with nature, they are the most talented marksman in the land. Warriors frequently tattoo their face to signify their absolute resolve to always protect their culture and land. If you happen to see a Wood Elf, it is quite possible you have already been surrounded and marked for death.
High Elf:
The ancient elves that spent centuries unlocking the secrets of arcane magic are now widely know as the High Elves. These sorcerers are extremely gifted with magic, and have become arrogant with their own power. In their glory, their bodies have grown frail over the years, but their tricks and spells are more lethal and harrowing than ever.
Gnome:
You may miss a lot by just looking at a Gnome. Truth is, they are great tinkerers and have a great mind for science and engineering. They also make great musicians and poets around the campfire. But Gnomes have been widely discriminated against, frequently making them openly hostile. So you'd best watch your step and tongue around these little masters, because it is hard to parry a dagger in the back.
Hobbit:
Hobbits, like their gnomish cousins, are halflings. They make great thieves and can pad along silently on their thick hairy feet. They are well-liked throughout the land for their love of beer and stories. They can easily become life-long friends, but their appetite for adventure falls off quickly with age.
Human Peasant:
Peasants are the Humans that haven't yet broken out of their social binds. They are strong as a pair of oxen, but their surplus of work in the fields has left little time for schooling. Naturally hard-working and honest, if a peasant gave you bad directions, it was probably because they didn't know in the first place.
Human Noble:
Nobles are better educated and trained to be soldiers at a young age. Those that are particularly gifted in the magical arts can go on to become decent mages, but all nobles are bred tacticians and leaders. They may not be the strongest, smartest, or fastest race, but that doesn't stop them from being one of the most successful.
Dark Orc
Dark Orcs get their name from their nocturnal nature. These Orcs are widely known as lone mercenaries or warriors that travel the land in search of work. Battle-hardened and bloodthirsty, these ferocious creatures take no prisoners and ask no questions. Don't ever back out on a deal with a Dark Orc. They don't like that. They don't like that at all.
Pack Orc:
Unlike their cousins, Pack Orcs live in small bands or tribes. They move as a group, kill as a group and feed as a group. They are less civil than the Dark Orcs, which is saying something. Pack Orcs will stay away from cities and refuse contact with any other race. Unless they are hungry.
Jungle Troll:
Jungle Trolls are spiritual creatures that believe in a higher power. Tall, lanky, and almost always covered in piercings, Trolls love the savage jungle wilderness. They still use traditional weapons such as hand crafted wooden spears and bows. They are great climbers, but their reluctance to adapt with the changing technology could be the downfall of their race.
Mountain Troll:
Mountain Trolls are shorter and more hearty than their cousins. They still use primitive weapons, but are beginning to update their arsenal with metal tipped spears and arrows. They live in and around tall mountains, frequently coming to blows with traveling Surface Dwarves. Mountain Trolls are more nomadic than Jungle Trolls, so they are more difficult to find.
Civilized Goblin:
Decades ago Human Nobles decided to attempt to educate the Goblins. Their efforts were limited, but the Goblins that took to the lessons have progressed rapidly in the past years. They became highly interested in books and have all but forgotten where they came from. This has caused a rift between the Civilized Goblins and their feral brothers and sisters.
Feral Goblin:
Feral Goblins have no love for their civilized brethren and have made a point to raid and pillage Civilized Goblin communities. Using ferocity and blind determination, these Goblins are adamant in their beliefs that the old ways are the only ways, and will do anything to prevent their culture from being tarnished.
Ancient Dead:
The reanimated kings of old live a cursed life amongst the living. They are shunned and banished from all major cities and most people refuse to give any audience to the wandering dead. This has caused the Ancient Dead to become reclusive as they travel silently to their ancient stronghold of Riroden where they gather and wait in the dark...
Undead Lich:
The Undead Liches are only seen by treasure hunters and adventurers that dare enter ancient tombs in search of riches. Liches have no qualms about ending the lives of the intruders, but prefer to play with their prey before they pounce. It isn't uncommon for a Lich to drive a treasure hunter mad before letting them loose back in the world, only to suffer the rest of their days tormented by their own mind.
